Seems iambic.social has been down since yesterday. Will it return?

Getting my domain name hooked up to the new blog. Forgot I was forwarding it, had to turn that off. Funny that forwarding trumps all the alias and c-name stuff.

Looks like I'm on the way back to big-boy blogging. Stay tuned for details.

Pretty is as pretty does, my momma used to say
Simple is as simple goes, so throw some things away.

# Markdown would be nice.
It's merely text, right?
With a bit of flair.

The world is small, inhabited by one.
And soon the population will be none.

For some time now I've had a microblog on a little site that has no social aspect to it at all. Very simple. Pretty nice. Just occurred to me that #tinyap pretty much fills the bill for simplicity while still allowing for interaction. Even better.

The day was a mixture of wonderful things and frustrating moments. It's called life.

Didn't realize that it would have to use a third party service. Gotcha.

Yup, having to type in the whole thing is cumbersome.

Cool! Glad to know.
Curious if there's a way to see notifications without going to the specific page for them ...

Saw that @adele was offering space and a person can use #publii ... I downloaded that once, but never did anything with it. May investigate it again ...

Is there a roadmap for tinyap, or is this an experiment that will soon get retired?

I was able to find some of my stuff on archive.org back to 2000, but I know I had a site up before that.
Thanks, as far as a personal blog, I've dithered far too long. I'm just a low-brow normie, so it's not easy ...

The pale yellow background of #tinyap reminds me, fondly, of a website I did back in the late 90s or early 2000s using html. However, I was never so glad to get away from doing a site by hand, when apps like WordPress came along. Then, later, WP became a monster and it wasn't fun anymore.

Not a bit hungry, even though we ate nearly six hours ago, and it wasn't even a big meal. But if we don't eat something before long, tomorrow we'll wake up famished. What a dilemma ...

To blog or not to blog -- that's not the question --
But where, to not give a normie indigestion?

Quite noticeable the difference in loading time between #tinyap and others ...

With daily needs let them be weighted.

Some people think too much, some not enough.
And some think not at all, mere huff and puff.

Ah, understood. We put ceramic tiles on our roof some time back, supposedly last longer and need less maintenance. We'll see. :)

Nice! Looking good. What material is the roofing?

Communication is a risky activity, even under the best of circumstances. Distance, language, culture, and values all enter in the mix to complicate meaning.
