@mho thanks for elaborating! Not sure bridgy is counted in fedidb. I like the concept of bridges, but very few seem to be any good at respecting people's reach settings (often referred to as "privacy settings"). 

This downward trend is happening accross all alternatives. I suspect much of it is due to most of them assuming microblogging is central to public interactions.

Very cool analysis. Where do you find data suggesting the Fediverse is growing though? FediDB suggest it's number of accounts is growing linearly, while the active users count is steadily going down... Would love to see the metrics you are using, thanks! 💜
