@lina actually they were the false alert (the first one; overestimated earthquake intensity) and its correction (the second one) but the presentation of correction was not properly implemented on client devices, seemingly

after watching the trailer, yep, it's not relevant at all with the content of "filosofi teras". kinda seems like things are extracted from "filosofi teras", then construct a whole new different story aside from the original book. since the original book isn't about any story at all.

why is it not original screenplay rather than adaptation from a book that not relevant to the book?

Ohh so there were two warnings. The real one and the fake one. 2 minutes apart. That's about as long as it takes for the waves to move the distance.

So maybe they DID get the P waves, then when the S waves came, they were incorrectly detected as new P waves for a bigger quake?

I dont understand why "filosofi teras" get film adaptation? like, it was not a novel in the first place. it's kinda like Osamu Dazai No Longer Human, but without a story, just a grumble of someone

空振り事例を見ると思ってたより少ない、というか見逃しの方が多い。場所が限定されることを踏まえれば許容できる誤報の量かなーって感じ。 
マグニチュードがデカすぎたのが境界値のエラーか仕様かはわからないけど、普通はこうならないならまあ見逃しとの兼ね合いでこれくらいの調整にはしそう。

Ohhhh hold on, the quake was real but it was faaaar into the ocean and a nothingburger.

Did they... miss the P waves, then sensed the S waves up in Hokkaido and misinterpreted them as P waves and therefore thought a Huge One was coming???
