@silverpill GTS user having a normal one, I've seen many requests to add software-based federation policies into GTS and also Mastodon.

There's also an easy Mitra instances blocklist if you modify Fedilist csv responses slightly, but don't tell anyone 🤫

@ex_06 Fediverse has a similar market for Mastodon API / Lemmy API clients. The cost of switching is small, so better clients tend to be more popular.

Aside: we should? I cache the inbox locally so I don't have to... I believe I read somewhere that bonfire (cc @mayel@bonfire.cafe) also caches whether a recipient supports 9421

@julian @evan @technical-discussion I proposed FEP-844e as an alternative to double-knocking, it should work well for POST requests because normally you fetch an actor before sending activities to its inbox. Several early adopters of RFC 9421 already implemented this FEP (including WordPress).

full account migration could leverage a trusted third party service that simply serves authorization attestation (also for in the event the origin becomes unavailable), allowing remote servers to simply rewrite data/relations without having to delete and refetch.

ひだまりスケッチのアニメだと思ったけど、銭湯に行った場面で、無地平面に「富士山」って文字が書かれたカットが出てきて、これは具体的な絵でなく「富士山」と文字で書くことで富士山のイデアを表現してるのだ、と感心して居たが、円盤では富士山の絵に差し替へられて居た
