@silverpill damn, I didn't have debugging enabled after restarting the server. I found the request, but the errors are not very enlightening on signature check failure.

The European Commission @EUCommission now lists #Mastodon as first social media channel in their page footer [1] (The Twitter/X logo is now gone ;). And on the EU website you can now filter for Mastodon social media accounts [2].

For nginx, you need to adjust this setting:

@silverpill when you get a chance, please send another request. While waiting for the upstream to solve the issue, I fixed on my end trying to validate missing nonces.

@rayslava @fedi Have you reported this to mastodon.el maintainer? I would be happy to assist with the debugging but I need some clues. Perhaps the client logs out when some API call fails or returns unexpected data.
