Oh humanity!

I was ordering at a Taco Bell kiosk and next to me at a different kiosk was a couple in their early 20s. The dude is punching in their order and gets to checkout and says to his girlfriend: “The discount code isn’t working.”

He pushes more things on the screen and apparently still no-go. He asks the employ for help. The employee comes around the counter and looks and says, “It says you haven’t met the minimum to get the discount.”

Dude: “So what do I do?”

Employee: “You need to order more food sir.”

Dude: “So I have to order more to get the discount?”

Dude: “So what do I do?”

I was done ordering and left to wait for my food before I screamed at the dimwit.

It's like minimums for "free" shipping. You're not saving money if you have to get things you don't want/need. It's a stupid trick.

@BaronessWinter@beige.party

It is a stupid trick. But, usually most people are like "fuck it, I'll just get what I need." This dude seemed genuinely confused.
