I've been looking at a lot of John Berkey and John Harris paintings lately. They are both so good, painterly, and wonderful! Space is almost never black in their paintings. Anyway. Another spaceship sketch.

@ben I long tried to google up some spaceships watercolors, and kept failing. Thank you for sharing and showing me a way to do this! FWIW, my own one attempt from some time ago attached (sorry I don't have a better photo handy)

@akavel thanks! The thing that surprises me is how much color you can put down and have it still read as space. Berkey was an absolute master at that. Look at old sci-fi book covers and space is basically never black!
