@alexandra @bstn Love your post, Alex. The garbage can approach is exactly right. Everything (well almost everything) goes on the blog.

@alexandra @bstn @jimmitchell Amen! For a while I had three blogs, one personal one (which remained a garbage can), one professional one (which I've since subsumed into my personal blog), and one for fiction (also subsumed). 

The personal/professional split was good whilst I had that focus but when I changed careers, it was pointless.

Now, my blog is mine and I'll post about whatever I want! Yay!
