By the afternoon of May 29, we had come down off Mt Taylor far enough for things to look like the desert again. This water source was pretty vile cow water, in a very nice mini-canyon setting. Staffage is a hiker named Plankton; a very nice guy, but much faster than me so we didn't hike near each other for long.
