I’m not yet open enough to write about more personal things, but that doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Maybe that’s just the way I am. Every now and then, I discover that I approach writing about various topics in a completely different way (namely, more openly). And that’s all thanks to blogging and the fact that I have a blog about everything. I don’t limit myself to any particular topic (though some topics do feature more prominently). It’s a very liberating feeling. This is the first time I’ve run a blog in this style. Until now, I’d blogged on a single topic and, after a while, closed the blog to start another one on a different subject. It was a vicious circle.

Sebastian ruminates on what he wants his blog to be. This is my answer to that, sharing what I think a blog is for. At the end of the day, my blog is for me and no one else.

Thank you for explaining exactly how it works in your case, Jim. @alexandra has done the same on her blog. I can see similarities in both your approaches. I’m still learning how to write about everything, but I think I’m about halfway there. I used to have themed blogs. Now I write about all sorts of things and share my observations. I’m curious to see where this will take me next. What sort of blog format will I end up with? It really is a great journey.

I especially like when that font is available to use freely. Thanks to Sebastian, I’ve updated the faces on my site to DM Sans and I think it works pretty well in the overall design.
