Plein air watercolor painting - 7/7/2026

West River, Brattleboro, VT

Kayaking in the confluence of the West River as it flows into the Connecticut River, I found an unexpected but very useful feature for plein air painting.

There are a number of very shallow sandbars in this inlet, and if I position myself just right, I can remain anchored in one place indefinitely, super useful!
