Personally, I find it odd that the NC dept of Insurance publicly tells people that they aren't a department that can enforce Insurance companies to honor their obligations to us. Someone ought to tell Commissioner Mike Causey that NC Insurance companies must serve NC consumers, not the inverse...

How many people are put into unwinnable situations all because the NC DOI believes the dept isn't responsible for curtailing Insurance companies' abuse of us?
