PeerTube As Alternative To YouTube's Monopoly
Recently Steven Colbert surprised everyone by hosting Only In Monroe just 24 hours after his last Late Show appearance. It was available on YouTube. This was cool, but viewers also had to also watch gross commercials for things like anti-diabetes potions and herbal laxatives. Also, YouTube videos are subject to Google's algorithms. This is just trading one oppressive gatekeeper for another.
There is another way.

PeerTube is a viable alternative to YouTube
Sure it does not have the reach, but it has something more precious for creators like Steven Colbert. You can take control.
This seems daunting, but it is actually quite simple. Using a very modest server setup ($7.25 per month) @oldcoder is now hosting Only In Monroe commercial free, as a demonstration to creators everywhere.
