I just discovered that people are not liking that Hal Jordan is (apparently) dead at the end of the pilot episode of Lanterns. I am a fan of Hal Jordan, but I am not upset by him dying. I think it was a good hook for the rest of the season and gives the show something to develop the story on.

My guess is that Jordan will continue in the show based on the scenes with his consciousness coming out of the ring.

If Lanterns gets a second season, I would love for it to be an anthology show featuring a different Green Lantern each season with a different story. I mean, there are at least 7,200 of them in the galaxy. That's a lot of stories to be told!

What do you think? Were you upset by the death of Hal Jordan?

I don’t think he is dead. I think it is a construct or alien duplicoid. I’m thinking they are going Parallax with Hal.

Long shot theory: John Stewart’s dad is the original John Stewart and is a former backup. Green Lantern. His son is a new one. That’s how his dad knew how to train John.
