"Popular IndieWeb bloggers have been talking about "Hardcore IndieWeb" recently. The idea is doing everything yourself: building a site with pure HTML and CSS using a text editor on your laptop and hosting it... from any cheap web host, or even from a cupboard at home.
Nothing wrong with that if you have the time and the patience, or if you need complete control over everything on your site, but I'd argue against doing this in the general case."

@olly For most people it probably wouldn't be worth it. Most people just want something they can do a quick change or addition in a few minutes and move on.

@olly I love it, but NOT for blogs. I have a hardcore website, with a lot of things on it, but for blog posts it's just too much of a fuss.
I did do a workaround though, I automagically post the RSS to my website :)
