I feel better about the Fediverse than I did a year ago, but I can also see the other points.

What makes me hopeful is that so many people are working hard to make the Fediverse even better. 
The problem is that this work is so often unpaid or underpaid, and there is currently not enough funding for all the activity that is needed. I can't see any quick fixes, but maybe medium term fixes?

That's why I will continue to develop things for and with the Fediverse.
