If you have voltmeter or that fancy ATX power tester, you could check if PSU gives reasonable current.

You can start PSU without plugging it to the motherboard, if it will not start, then everything is clear. Maybe it was only a fuse.

Can a CPU short out the power supply?

Maybe thermal grease or something else shorted some pins.

For NetBSD you can use standard image and review dmesg after dropping to the shell. Wifi support can be checked by trying to connect to the Internet using installer's utilities.

ZFS still needs FFS boot partition, just a detail. For a testing purposes I would run FFS, it has journaling.

Also out of interest and I think that I already know the answer but does the ax200 WiFi work on NetBSD?

No iwx(4) driver on NetBSD.

At some point, code is like science or mathematics: not ownable, belonging to all.

Hledger's code is licensed under GPL3. Just odd.

bpl@bpl@snac.bsd.cafe (2026-09-14 22:34:23) I am wondering if anyone tried to use /dev/urandom to write urandom(4) man page and how long it would take.

#unix

Antix Linux - has all 3 applications.
Chimera Linux - LibreWolf and Lilypond might work through gcompat.
Gentoo - has all 3 aplications.
NetBSD - has all 3 applications, but LibreWolf is in pkgsrc's wip, so needs manual compilation.
