@bstn I didn't expect that. That is really sad and one argument more, to stick with platforms which owners have been proven to stick to their manifest for a long time, like Herman is running Bear Blog or bite through an own everything yourself.

Yes, there is always a risk, when you use someone else’s platform, that the owner will hold views with which you disagree, or that the platform’s development will take a direction you do not accept.

@bstn I honestly don't care about any definition of IndieWeb or whatever. For me only counts, how reliable the platform is to host my content measured by the time-frame that matters to me, and do I agree to the values of the people behind. If I trust a 3rd party platform, it is important to me, that I can get everything out at any time in a reusable format. And lastly, how much does it cost me to use the platform (in terms of money and how easy to use it is).
