Once again, I get the feeling that a blog in the form of a microblog would be more than enough for me. No blog, no social media.

@bstn I’d miss the interaction. I have a lot of repeat follows, both here and via rss. Posts are the exact same, of course. Sometimes I missed what someone said here, something worth replying to, and I got it on the feed reader. A lot more often than I’d like to, I’ll come here, look the person up, and reply. Sometimes there’s no commenting system on the blog, other times there’s an email (I have that on my blog) contact, right on the post’s page, and I’ll still come here to reply.
This part of the internet feels like a cafe,or the proverbial town square. One reads the news, catches up with friends, all in the same place. Being able to easily engage is why it’s my favorite place.
