@dthompson All I'm saying is we can do it safely, figuring out how to do it ethically is still an exercise for the reader.

@ocdtrekkie I interpreted that paragraph as promotion of running vibecoded apps. there is no ethical way to use LLMs because their externalities are just so extreme.

@dthompson I mean, I would argue that if everyone who currently subscribes switched to the vibe-coded slop-replacements of Adobe and Microsoft's product suites and collapsed those two companies, that would probably be an ethical and environmental net positive. (And an overall reduction in the funding and use of LLMs.)

I won't claim authority on what level of penance justifies the use of AI to solve a problem, but I think there's probably some sort of math equation to it.
