Ever get obsessed with a specific chord? I don't really know how to play the guitar but the opening chord to Blood Incantation's The Message sounded so cool I had to figure out what it was. It's Abmaj7. They play it in drop C tuning: 8 8 8 10 10 10. Drop D is easier for my noob brain so I just shifted that up a whole step to 6 6 6 8 8 8. Playing it is kinda hard for me but I think it's what they call a barre chord. Your index finger goes across the entire 8th fret and then your pinky covers the 3 high strings on the 6th fret, that was what felt easiest to me and it's what I see people doing in YouTube covers. Awkward for me since I can only really do power chords but it sounds awesome.
