TIL that the Amtrak Downeaster line has a daily connecting bus service that extends beyond where the train terminates. however, I don't know how anyone really uses it because the Amtrak website doesn't let you book a southbound trip that uses the bus, as far as I can tell. if I try to book Rockland to Boston it says no but if I try Boston to Rockland then it's fine. I called Amtrak and an agent said they could book it but with that level of friction how does that bus get any riders?
