This is all it takes to get started, a platform definition:

We just released Mastodon 4.6.5. It contains one important bug fix and we recommend every instance running 4.6 to update.
We are also releasing Mastodon v4.5.15 and v4.4.22 with minor bugfixes

I migrated from my self-hosted Mastodon instance to mastodon.social. Of course, I couldn't move my posts so I created a small server to provide the archive of my post history without changing any #ActivityPub URIs or media URLs. It seems to be working well. RAM usage is down from 1.2GB to 45MB (-97%) and disk usage down from 160GB to 15MB (-99.99% drop) compared to keeping the old server running. I've been surprised how many "hits" I'm seeing for old posts, so I'm glad the archive is available.

We were recently reminded that The Social Music Network integrated the fediverse symbol into their logo. It's a good example of the versatility of the symbol in different contexts.
If your not aware of their initiative, it's meant to try to bring together various groups using the fediverse for music promotion, creation, distribution and everything inbetween.

as an update, the general AI-training background of the internet is now impossible to tell apart from being under attack
akk dev was being hit by enough requests to overwhelm our CPU, so we've had to put in some protections
if you use SSH clones of our repositories, the domain is now `ssh.akkoma.dev` - you'll need to update your remote urls - sorry for the inconvenience
