At least with guix you can always boot into the previously working system.

@dthompson how is that better than just rolling back the offending package?  Most likely I wouldn't even have to reboot.

@jay you don't always know who the offender is and if it's only one thing. in this case I could have fixed my problem without rebooting but I didn't know that at the time. it's nice to just rollback to the previously working system config when you aren't sure what went wrong.
