@phaedral I know HTML etc and even built a static website once, but I want to focus on writing instead of building, basically.

Hey #Mastodon #Indieweb folks. I remember having a conversation about blogging and creating websites once and someone recommended a service that enables you to create a simple website using markdown, but I have now forgotten it's name. It's not bear, or publii. I think it has the word "page" in its name but I could be wrong. Help!

@bstn hey hope I didn't make it sound like I am talking about you etc. I am mostly surprised why many seem to consider it a revolutionary idea especially since it's been content wisdom for decadesπ
. But we content folks may not realise that the world, being platform based now, has changed

@bstn in the content profession world, this advice is considered common sense. It always surprises me how most people get an aha moment when I tell them about the "you need to own a domain and your website" thing. So I guess I will keep saying it for years and years because platform capture is indeed such a thing in our day and age.

You know one of those things you want to achieve as a writer? Well, writing the No.1 essay on Hacker News wasn't something I dreamed about achieving. I didn't even think it was possible, but hey here we are!
