@rio @twilightkiddy to be fair, new fedora installer is atrocious.
Few weeks ago I wanted to do manual partitioning + LUKS (which was possible in old anaconda) and option just... wasn't there. I'm not using btrfs, because I value my performance and data (btrfs not only preforms noticeably worse than ext4, it also explodes if you look at it wrong).
Didn't have time/spoons for doing it by hand, so I just grabbed a stick with Alpine and went with it.

@rio @elly @twilightkiddy I have been using btrfs on almost all my machines for several years, including daily snapshots for backups and many, many, MANY hard shutdown cycles and other abuse. Zero corruption or issues.
It's fine. It's been fine for quite a few years by now. ext4 is also fine (but doesn't have snapshots which is less convenient for backups).
10 years ago it was different and a lot of people seem to be stuck with that old impression...

For what it’s worth, my current setup has been using btrfs for over a year and a half, and (knock on wood) so far I’ve had no noticeable issue with it.
