But my personal experience with Japan (and some Japanese companies) were not bad at all! As a matter of fact, they were genuinely good! Yeah there are still black companies around, but the Japanese government is rather serious about enforcing labor laws and cracking down on all those unethical malpractices in place. In 2026 today, there are companies, mainly young, start-ups companies, that are genuinely up-to-date with modern work ethics in my opinion.
