Phew. That was a read!
Now time to read https://github.com/Yellow-Dog-Man/Resonite-Issues/issues/7318
Hopefully this one isn't going to be as long...

Maybe this is why Japan needs more babies.

KawaneRio🇯🇵🌸🍡@rio@kawane.misskey.online (2026-10-07 20:26:23)
The rough draft looks extremely anglocentric, which, makes sense, as the official discord server is predominantly of anglophones and the Japanese community is the minority; the current majority will probably get what they want. I do not think that the current anglophone majority will listen to the Japanese community at all.

Policies will be made in your absence.

In essence, if you don't speak English, your voice simply does not exist.

KawaneRio🇯🇵🌸🍡@rio@kawane.misskey.online (2026-10-07 20:22:47)
Every day, I realize how anglocentrism affects every aspect of our non-english speaking lives.

During the course of this discussion, an AI-tagged world was removed as an official action by the moderation team, even though this was later acknowledged to have been a mistake.

The reason has already been explained in the official comments: an AI-related world appeared in Featured, someone complained that they found it unpleasant and asked for it to be removed from Featured, and because it could not be removed from Featured directly, the world itself was removed instead.

Today I had an online meeting with some of the most important figures in the open source scene in my prefecture in Japan. I've set an alarm which I did not hear at all and realized that I was late while eating dinner and my grandma was like "didn't you say you had an online meeting at 7pm today?" and I realized I was 15min late; I paused eating, rushed to my desk, and attended the meeting (thankfully everyone forgave for my tardiness)... It wasn't until 21:21 until the meeting came to an end and then I went back to finishing my dinner... well that was an event!
