In a new post for my hitting the digital brakes, I wrote a blog post on unleashing Instagram and letting the algorithm choose for me. (as opposed to only viewing who I follow)

I also saw so much AI slop. (And way too many shiny people in white houses promoting crap)

I didn’t realise how toxic it really is, how it’s built to keep eyes on it. 

It made me realise that even though I do love following the ten or so people I follow there, it’s so much better for my mental health to ditch it.

@sylvia I have similar thoughts about IG. Algorithms and everything around it is like a deep hell. Sometimes I wonder how can I had used this platform for many hours during the next weeks and years and I didn’t notice her many faults.
