got 2 new contracts this past week for creative work. in total I am running 4 different contracts each month + 1 I dropped
dont even assume 1 contract means I could buy anything, not at all. but at least these contracts keep me moving forward in the industry. in a way like, an initial funding to bootstrap my work rather than red finance all the time, its more net zero gray thingy

I've been reading up on Morphic, the UI system that originated in Self and ported to various Smalltalk implementations since and it seems pretty mundane by today's standards. it's the smalltalk environment itself that is more interesting, with the inspection features and the halo menus. I guess halo menus are kinda like radial menus but not as good, though.

An ambiguity in c89 which will never be fixed
I found some ambiguous wording in the c89(/c90) standard, where GCC and Clang disagree on the interpretation. It concerns the behavior of implicit function declarations, which were removed in c99, so this was never disambiguated.

that is why I use AI over doing it myself. in this uncertainty, doing the same work with my hand would cost more time and make me unable do another work. at least with AI, I could finish it in a day or two for the baseline or fundamental, then I moved my head to work on something else
working by hand is a luxury in my opinion, esp in this uncertainty. its like you broke your own knife but going to a custom handmade specialist to replace your $20 knife. I will only go to custom handmade specialist if I already broke 10 of $20 knife

Enlightenment desktop is a low on resources desktop environment without sacrificing on visuals. NetBSD support for this BSD-licensed desktop has been left a few years behind. The aim of this project is to port the newest version of the desktop to pkgsrc and commit upstream portability fixes when necessary to ease future versions updates for NetBSD.
