COMO É que uma pessoa pode ouvir a verdade da Boa Nova de Cristo e sair sem entender praticamente nada? Ao mesmo tempo, a mesma pessoa ouve qualquer palavra pagã ou religiosa e absorve como se fosse toda a verdade. Não é sinal de carnalidade? Os apelos profanos atingem os ouvidos profanos. A pregação mentirosa alcança quem vive na mentira. Por isso, procuramos quem busca a verdade, quem reconhece a falsidade mundana e deseja algo real e genuíno. E queremos ser tais pessoas, abertas à influência da Palavra de Deus. Queremos viver na sinceridade e na fidelidade ao ensino de Cristo. Israel serve de alerta; queremos aprender.

そういえばリアルの諸用で使ってるGmailが「容量足りなくてメール受け取れねぇですよ〜！」の警告来てて何事かと見に行ったんスね

原因:Googleフォトのバックアップ機能
1万枚もバックアップと称してデータ詰め込まれてた

そらメール入る余地無いわ

そういえばリアルの諸用で使ってるGmailが「容量足りなくてメール受け取れねぇですよ〜！」の警告来てて何事かと見に行ったんスね

原因:Googleフォトのバックアップ機能
1万枚もバックアップと称してデータ詰め込まれてた

そらメール入る余地無いわ

いまの若者のPCはCD/DVD/BDドライブがついていないって聞いた記憶がある。HDDすら内蔵せず、SSD。
スピンドルって単語使ってなかったっけ、うろおぼえ。

I need the power of the #fediverse : For an upcoming presentation I am looking for examples many people will understand where the software caused consumer electronic devices not to work anymore.

E.g. company decided not to update the software which caused the device to stop, company disappeared and e.g. servers not available and therefore the device did not start anymore, etc. 

Currently interested in some fresh examples I could use. Any pointers?

I really feel like we had several prominent FOSS organizations fail us by not saying "hey hold on, don't use generative AI in FOSS projects, we're not sure what the legal, community, environmental implications of this are but there are serious problems and we have a history of taking a stand" and I worry that maybe we lost our moment to be principled, except in niche spaces, and the walls are closing in

And... I'm really sad about it. I think we're underestimating the amount of damage that's happening. :\

The pretty amazing feat that comes with GNOME 49 in #Guix is the gnome-session replacement implemented as a layer above the 🐑 Shepherd:

Kudos to @baleine for pulling it off!

It successfully disentangles this part of GNOME from systemd, and it’s a creative use of the Shepherd!
