It uses MLS to implement encrypted messaging over ActivityPub. Bonfire and Emissary have working implementations, and Mastodon will implement it later this year.

@rumisan まぁ, PCだと電気的な要因よりもソフトウェア側の要因の方がオーディオに与える影響は支配的な気がする

@Lemmus @evan Relying on a public key directory seems very strange... it totally breaks the decentralisation. The instance of the recipient's account is a better place for the publication of the public key.

I hope this will be implemented soon.

Are there any plans to implement encryption for private messages using a public key attached to the Fediverse account?
I understand that the metadata would not be encrypted, but that would be more than sufficient for many use cases. The decentralised nature of the Fediverse is a major advantage in the fight against censorship.

Simply start following the city, and you'll receive the weather conditions and forecasts with the next update.
Please note that since updates are sent at regular 6-hour intervals, it may take a little while for the first message to arrive.

Hollo 0.8.0 shipped less than a month ago, and 0.9.0 is already shaping up to be a bigger release than I expected. New frontend design, Passkey support, WebFinger domain separation, a media proxy, full FEP-044f (Mastodon-style quote posts) compliance, and Traditional Chinese docs. More details when it's out.
