On one hand, if it was in JSON-LD, it would make it machine-legible similar to ActivityPub.
On the other hand, I don't think anyone is going to write JSON-LD (especially HTML embedded in a JSON string value) by hand. But, I do think some people will want to write their resume by hand.
It feels like user-experience is fighting with JSON-LD based machine-legibility.

When last I left off, I made a pull request to peertube/http-signature library try to help the JavaScript ecosystem reach RFC 9421 parity while being backwards-compatible with cavage-12 draft implementations. There has not been any traction on this yet. Maybe because PeerTube has abandoned its own use of the library.
So our current ecosystem state is the following:
PeerTube uses misskey-dev/node-http-message-signatures library and owns the defacto unmaintained peertube/http-signature library.
Misskey and the rest of the ‘keyverse use peertube/http-signature library and Misskey owns the defacto...

This is an interesting development. I don't want to choose between Tor and I2P, so a higher level p2p networking library that can use both networks simultaneously sounds like a great solution.

PHP[tek] 2026 starts tomorrow in Chicago, and I won't be there.
Not because the schedule doesn't look interesting. A few talks would have caught my attention: event-driven architecture for resilient PHP apps, advanced SQL features most of us quietly ignore, semantic search and embeddings, or the NativePHP track. Even the advanced PHPUnit session sounds like the kind of deep dive I rarely make time for.
But flying thousands of kilometers for a three-day conference just doesn't fit with how I try to live. That's my call, not a criticism of anyone making the trip. Enjoy Chicago, enjoy the talks, enjoy the hallway conversations that often end up being the best part anyway... and share on the Fediverse ^^

But do you distinguish between "id" as a property vs an id as a property's value? Do you authenticate one but not the other?
I don't understand the question. An object is being authenticated, not its id. I mean this procedure described in FEP-fe34:

And if there isn't an AS2 representation do you conclude it's not authentic somehow?
Non-AS(AP) representation would not be a part of protocol. It is neither authentic nor unauthentic, it is an external resource.

It try to open the current post with the selected account. It permits to reply to a post with a different account (useful sometimes)
But if the current post is not accessible to the new account, you get an error

When I switch accounts in smolfedi, the post display doesn't change to the chosen account, it stays as is until I click "home" or another button.
Shouldn't switch reset the post display too?
