This thing is quite impressive, at least to me. It can take 4 signals that don't have to be in sync with each other and do clean switches and transitions between them. It can also overlay a logo on the output. The inputs and the output can be SECAM or PAL in any combination. You can probably run a small TV channel with one of these.

@edent.tel optical discs are also still widely used, and irreplaceable, as a cheap storage medium to give away. For example, I had a CT scan done a few years ago and they gave me a CD with the result. Had to yoink the drive out of my old PC and connect it to my modern Mac through 2 adapters to satisfy my curiosity.

Personally, I loathe the provision which bans ranked choice voting in the state (a voting method shown to increase voter turnout)
The bill also makes it so that a person's vote who passes away after voting early, but before election day does not count.
It's clear that this is the NC house repubs attempt to stifle the electoral process and prevent people from voting. Disgusting.

Admins who are feeling adventurous or desperate for the new stuff can try out this release candidate at their leisure.
As always, please read the migration notes carefully for instructions on how to upgrade to this version, in particular note that there are several config file changes that need to be addressed when you're updating from a previous version of GoToSocial to this version, and there are some quite long database migrations as well.
Release highlights
Relay support: GoToSocial now supports subscribing to relays (as an admin action), and pushing posts to relays (configured per-user, with filters available).
Documentation for admin-level relay subscriptions.
Documentation for user-level relays pushes.
Automated cleanup of old remote posts: you can now configure your instance to clean up threads of remote statuses that haven't been interacted with by anyone on your instance. This should save a lot of space in folks' databases!
Documentation for post caching + pruning.
Delivery error tracking for remote instances: there's now a page in the settings panel where admin can view errors encountered while attempting delivery of posts to instances that may be experiencing technical difficulties or may have gone offline. You can use this to get a quick view on possible "dead" instances that you can then remove from your database with a domain block.
Accounts directory: there's a new setting to allow admins to expose (or not) a directory of accounts on the instance! Your account will only be shown in the directory if you opt in via your privacy settings.

Better tracking of deleted statuses/status tombstones: GtS now stores tombstones for deleted statuses, allowing threads to remain intact even when a status in the middle of the thread has been deleted.

Remember that composite video software decoder thing I made to teach myself DSP? It turns out a guy in my city got fascinated enough by it and wanted to give me a tape with a distorted recording that some decoders have trouble with to see what mine will do, and "a PAL -> SECAM transcoder" that he didn't need.
The transcoder turned out to be this beast of a video mixer. I guess I do analog video now... By the way, my decoder is somewhat crap with signal this clean.

Known as medical-legal partnerships, the arrangement can help address unsafe or unstable housing conditions before they escalate into evictions. These partnerships exist in 49 states and the District of Columbia, according to the National Center for Medical Legal Partnership (NCMLP). Altogether, the coalition includes 170 legal aid agencies, 58 law schools, and hundreds of general hospitals, HAS-funded medical centers, and centers serving children and military veterans.

Trump's Iran "Deal" makes huge concessions, especially after months of the war impacting prices for all of us. Giving away billions to Iran just to reach strait crossings (potentially) similar to pre-war levels.
