#HolosSocial should not take too much space on your device. First, it has automatic cleaning features that you can tailor to your needs. It also uses bloom filters that automatically remove unwanted activities from the relay. On my own server, almost 14k posts take only 225 MB, less than a few photos.

With reviewing hardware for more than 22 years, when it comes to cooling products there are few brands that can still get me intrigued like Noctua. Genuinely surprised there were at least 71 cars in Royalton (population 2043 in 1920) in 1924. What’s even weirder is that my dad has no idea why we have this, as his grandfather didn’t own a car.

one good choice that rhombus made is the use of relaxed radix trees for its list data type. I'm working on this for guile as a persistent vector type. it's interesting how implementing this differs from hash array mapped tries which are also based on radix trees. a good hash function creates hash codes that span the entire key range, but vector indices are sequential from 0 to n. this makes vector trees "leftwise dense" (all the values are packed into the left branches) whereas hash trees have stuff scattered all around. efficient traversal/modification of each structure looks quite different.
