@Hipoalergeniko@poa.st very Elegant & Sophisticated indeed. But you know what is even /more/ disgusting? The ridiculous waste of resources and energy forced upon us by dishonorable engineers pleasing their master investors, literally wasting millions of hours of people's lives, due to their incompetence. Trading fragments of millions of souls every day for some number to increase on a financial spreadsheet. I have to repress violent urges every time I see a CAPTCHA asking millions of people to waste two minutes each of their lives, and that's just the surface of it, a literal distributed stealth massacre, and no one even cares. But I digress, my apologies, just had to read some horrible code today. Anyway, I wish you a good day, fellow creature of Earth. May we all figure this out, somehow.

@Grumblesock@clew.lol @nigga_tyreese@poa.st Thank you for the kind words. A bit more than three years, felt like forever considering how many crazy experiences we've been through. I'm trying my best to handle it well, cleaning up my house, fixing things, dead lifting almost every day, walking outside for hours, visiting family and friends, cooking new things, negotiating new work contracts. Sleep is the only thing I think I'm not doing very well at. At the same time, I'm trying my best not to evade thinking about things when they come up, so they don't build up and explode at me later. Everything feels empty right now, but I still go through the motions because I know if I stop I will fall apart, and it would be very hard to put myself together afterwards. Therapy as a concept does not even exist around here. I don't know if she will ever come back, considering she's so far removed from my life now, and is on the other side of the planet, and I try not to keep my hopes up because false hope is worse than dealing with the pain. I'm not chasing her, because I know it will make her hate me if I do. I tried to be positive at first and talk about things and "fix" things when she brought it up, but once she said she doesn't want to talk anymore I stopped talking to her completely. Whatever she ends up doing, she needs the space to consider things for herself, with a level mind, away from my influence.

I have been feeling a rising anxiety over the state of the open web and the fediverse - after seeing efforts by politicians all over the world (in Europe too!) to introduce age verification laws for social media.
My way of coping?
Teaching people how to self-host their own Fediverse profile (using the superb #GoToSocial) via #YunoHost.

Tonight's movie was a classic: Goldfinger (1964).
The staples of a James Bond movie were all in here. I quite enjoyed the movie and seeing what early Bond was like.
Sean Connery is awesome as James Bond. Actually, I will put it this way: Sean Connery is James Bond.
Goldfinger and his plan are great and memorable. Oddjob is a super memorable henchman. The opening song, titled after the movie, and sung by Shirley Bassey is fantastic and has stood the test of time.
Amazing how things were in the 60s cinema. Pussy Galore. Pussy Galore’s Flying Circus. And lines like: “Please entertain Mr. Bond for me Pussy.”
I watched this movie on Blu-ray, it is part of The James Bond Collection that I bought a couple of years ago that has all 24 Bond movies.
Rated 8 out of 10.
