@liztai It’s great that such an important topic has made it to the very top of the Hacker News list. Let’s hope it gives Substack creators plenty of food for thought when it comes to their writing strategy. Congrats!

@bstn in the content profession world, this advice is considered common sense. It always surprises me how most people get an aha moment when I tell them about the "you need to own a domain and your website" thing. So I guess I will keep saying it for years and years because platform capture is indeed such a thing in our day and age.
