@bstn Thanks, I got better context now.
Working in tech, almost all engineers I know vibe code. However, vibe coding with your eyes closed versus using LLMs wisely while writing code is very different. Of course, we do not know how he used LLMs to code, but her assumption that vibe coding equals bad is not exactly correct. I know many engineers who do this in real life, and the key is that they know what they're doing.
I do agree, however, that you shouldn't feed customer data into LLMs. That's pretty sacred, and if he did that, it's wrong.
So I think the IndieWeb being largely anti-LLM is disappointing to me, because I thought they'd be wiser than that. The founder of Pagecord as well should have been aware of his customers' anti-AI stance (know your customers and all that), but even I was caught by surprise that the IndieWeb community is actually anti-AI.

@liztai I see this as a very conservative stance pitted against a very liberal one. On the one hand, weโre talking about technology; on the other, about a certain worldview.

@bstn for a non-American like me I feel that both sides are overcomplicating things. Just choose the tools that get the job done don't have to bring in world views into this lol
