Note Detail
Fedilab Apps@apps@toot.fedilab.app (2026-09-19 05:22:15)
I have been on the Fediverse for 9 years. For personal reasons, I always refused to put myself forward, even at meetups. Speaking publicly is hard for me, especially in a language that is not my mother tongue.
I know it might hurt my work, but I feel more comfortable just doing what I do, even if I miss opportunities.
If what I do helps others, I am happy. That is enough for me. Thank you for your understanding.

@apps I'm the same way, for a long time I felt I should do all the outgoing, networking stuff you're supposed to do, but now I've reached the comfort zone where I don't feel obligated to go outside my comfort zone.
