I already had a list of Fediverse Apps as "Featured Profiles" on my own Profile. This still exists. You can add ANY account you want to the Featured Profiles list.

But with collections, you have the consent step - if an account is on a platform or server that doesn't have collections enabled, or the user has disabled them, you can't add it.

Featured Profiles is probably going to be retired soon. It's contradictory right now with the new consent rules, don't you think?

@box464 also, featured profiles don't federate, I can see yours on mastodon.social but not from elsewhere
