We have just released a new update for Pixelix.
This update includes many bug fixes.
We also added the possibility to use custom theme colors.
For Vernissage we added the tabs cameras, lenses and films on the explore page.
The update is already available on Github. On F-Droid, PlayStore and the AppStore it will be available in the coming days.

We just released Mastodon 4.7.0!
This version contains very few user-facing changes, but significantly reworks the backend code to improve security and support new protocol features.

It was my first time popping by, but I had a specific reason, namely a call to work on a specification for interaction controls based on various existing work. You may remember that I tried this before, earlier in the year, and it stalled due to a lack of time. So this time around I'm doing it during my work hours. Thanks @Lambo! π

#FediHood supports custom emojis, but I think people should be able to import their own (limited to around 10) and only usable by them.
I will add another tab in the emoji picker to quickly find them.

The domain fedihood.social is flagged as dangerous by Bitdefender, which may be the reason why confirmation emails are being rejected as spam by some providers.
I registered the domain on August 7th, and this false positive is causing a lot of problems. #FediHood

I'm thinking about creating my child accounts on #loops and/or #peerTube instead of doing that on YouTube or TikTok - of course. For creating content as well.
But what about child protection?
As far as I can see, there is none built-in at all, right!? Is this a thing even in the #fediverse? This important topic is getting more and more attention in the recent past - which is good - but what are you doing or planning about it? Is there something I missed?

quoted posts have their own buttons now but itβs very buttony, you can hide all that with the buttons switch in the left menu, all operations still available in the long press menu

Is there a good Fediverse friendly place to post about growing plants, trees, food etc?
A while ago I started an online avocado growing project (Using avocados to promote local climate resilience and to encourage people to start growing food locally) - and I've had requests to get trees/cuttings from all over the world... but I have so far failed to find the people who have established avocado trees who are willing to share cuttings.

Hello, dear Husky users.
For almost a year, you haven't seen any updates on Husky. I owe you an apology for that.
In August 2025, I left my job as an Android developer because I was burnt out. I didn't do any programming for three months just to recover, and after finding a new job, I wasn't ready to get back to working on Android apps.
Recently, I settled into my new home, and my setup is almost ready for me to resume work on Husky. Eventually, new releases will come out, with fixes and new features.
I hope you can understand, and please be a little more patient.

@tully I may back out if it, currently trying out separate buttons for the quoted post, which is a bit button busy, but addresses the issue of ignoring operations in the original post, plus Iβm having the usual swiftui issues getting that double like to update properly
