His help with the account will be really valuable to me. The idea is to better handle issues reported on the #Fediverse and in our repo.

#Fedilab 3.43.0-beta-1 has been published in the dev channel. This release now targets Android 16, which is why I'm releasing it as a beta first.
To beta testers: could you check that you don't have any layout issues with this version? Thanks!

New accounts on MakerTube are now moved over to the subscription model. Please choose a storage plan according to your needs, quota will be applied after successful payment/checkout. Existing users can already move over to the new model by subscribing, otherwise I will move them over later this year. Plans are tightly calculated, please subscribe to a bigger plan if possible. @c just contributed some changes to #pachli that update the set of supported features (https://github.com/pachli/pachli-android/pull/2387) if your account is on a server running #iceshrimpdotnet.
You can now quote, schedule posts, use supported search operators, and create filters.
These changes are in Pachli Current now, and will be in the regular Pachli release at the end of this month.

#HolosDiscover has an issue with accents that I'll fix ASAP. For instance, searching for "Androïd" returns far fewer results than "Android".
In case you can't see the difference, the letter "i" has a diaeresis (tréma) in the first word.

I'll soon publish a beta release of #Fedilab with several fixes:
- IPv4 fallback when IPv6 fails (mostly over WiFi, with an infinite loader)
- Cache improvements (faster loads even with a heavy cache)
- Memory leak fixes
The target version will also be Android 16, which removed the edge-to-edge opt-out that Fedilab used.

Recent reports I received for #Fedilab were mostly about OOM (out of memory) bugs.
I re-enabled LeakCanary to track them down and fixed four leaks that kept the app holding onto memory while navigating between activities.
People who never kill the app may have run into those crashes. The next release should be more stable.

I like this. OH: The Fediverse is social media. TikTok, X, Facebook etc is algorithmic media. This catches the difference quite well. We should take the term social media back. It is about us, not their algorithms.

I turned off the #siliconbeest recommended timeline because it's not available in my part of the world, but I can reenable it on request, just means an error message for everyone else.

I had to say goodbye to the "bloost" (like+boost) button, it worked well for me when it was in the middle of the button bar, but after it got crowded off center by the quote button I never used it.

We are planning to release new Mastodon security updates for versions 4.4, 4.5, 4.6 and nightly this Monday, Jul 27, at around 14:00 UTC.
It solves two major security issues.
We encourage server administrators to plan for an update in the hours following the release to ensure their instance is protected. These versions will not require database migrations.
