@bstn It's a starting point at least! There's a lot of nuance in some areas, and much will depend on personal points of view on where exactly that line should be drawn.
I started this year with a new Eleventy site. Then the sheer convenience of Pagecord drew me in (just being able to write and hit publish is a big draw for an ADHD brain). But now I've told myself to stop being lazy and I'm putting together a new Eleventy site to merge the original two (actually, three) sites. However, it will be hosted on Netlify, and I've no idea about how they handle things on their end. Probably not in a way that lives up to the standards of many in the Indieweb community, though.
It's an ever changing landscape, so I constantly re-assess.

@jac I’m increasingly getting the impression that the idea behind the IndieWeb is incredibly simple, but can only be put into practice by people who know how to build their own websites and set up servers. Everyone else is stuck somewhere in between. They’re standing, as it were, on the edge of a precipice – they want to be part of the IndieWeb world, they’re invited to join it, yet at the same time they don’t meet the criteria and aren’t able to fulfil them.
