Here are the "plain English" guidelines:
— Any servers that want to use the Mastodon name and logo in their branding (not domain!) should seek express written permission from Mastodon, which is granted on a case-by-case basis.
— The word Mastodon should never be used in the main part of a server’s domain (a subdomain is allowed).** We will not retroactively enforce this on **servers created before May 13, 2026.**
— Existing servers using the Mastodon name in their domain must include this disclaimer: “This [server/site] is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mastodon GmbH or Mastodon Inc.”
— Any fair use mentions or derivative usage of the Mastodon name (such as mstdn) should include the disclaimer.

We have more news to share today, though I must admit, this news is a little less fun.
Recently, the @Mastodon team received a fair number of questions about our trade mark policy. We realised we could add some guidelines to help make the Policy more clear, so over the last few months, we did just that! I'll post a "plain English" version of the guidelines as a comment.

4/ The next most important barrier to fediverse growth is the ever present elephant in the room: money. Most of us run instances on a shoe string for our own gratification and the benefit of others, but unfortunately that's not a recipe for growth. If you want to address growth you need to look at how to generate funding and that conversation ends up at sponsorship. How doe we navigate that responsibly? It's a question nobody asks and everyone should be if we're talking about growth. #Fedicon

I added two flags that indicate whether a group is private, semi-private or public: canFollow and canParticipate. These flags are similar to ones used in interactionPolicy pattern but I think interaction policies don't scale well.

I've been pretty disintegrated since elementary school day so I'm used to it
during my elementary school day, I used to go to public wifi space just to open up facebook and play a game. but since internet isn't always reliable, I go to public net cafe as a backup. oh sorry, going to public wifi space actually since junior high school since I got my first laptop there.
when people my age hanging out, playing football, etc, I just sit with a laptop or pc at public net cafe. and that kind of life going til I went to high school because I decided to stop and blend in with society, but society disappoint me anyway so in uni I back to the routine again. but at that time instead of playing games, I went to "work" when most of my friends are enjoying their college life. and in adulthood, I am the first one who drop out from the career society

I have exciting news to share!! :mastodondance:
It looks like we're finally gearing up to start migrating people over into @Mastodon's new @zulip instance for certain parts of our community next week (#MastoAdmin #FediAdmin #FediDev #Mod etc.)! It has been a long time in the making and I'm sorry for the delay, but I'm so glad we're finally going to start getting people in there <3 We'll start by beta testing with a few individuals next week to make sure everything is ready for a larger wave of people to join <3 <3

この図で見てわかることは、セコマ、ローソン、ミニストップにあってファミマ、セブンにないものは大規模な店内調理設備なんだよね
ミニストップの消費期限問題も店内調理設備があるからこそ起きた問題なので、そこは逆に無いから問題が起きないセブンやファミマはそのフィールドにすら入ってないってことだと思う
