自作RacketライブラリをRhombusから自然な形で使えるようにしたい!って思って頑張っていればいずれこのRhombusの凄さに気づくことができそうだけど、普通にRhombusに入門してRhombusの機能を普通に使っていても永久に何も感じない可能性あるのでは…

Rhombus の annot と dot による foo.bar 的なアクセサ記法は新規性があることが分かった。これは動的ディスパッチでもなければ、レコード型情報への直接アクセスでもない。
annot と dot による foo.bar はプログラマが自由に定義できるのに、それは動的にディスパッチするものではなくて型っぽいannotの記法と組み合わせて静的に確定させることができるということか…
これは本当に欲しかったものかもしれない…

Wrote a first draft of my /ai page in a whirr of energy this morning (coffee fuelled!).
Came back to edit it, and the ending makes me giggle:

flatpak is kind of the antithesis of what foss distribution should be. devs simply shouldn't be packagers. we've fallen into this pit because of increasingly complicated build systems and the proliferation of language-specific package managers, which have made freedoms 2 and 3 difficult to exercise in practice.
