Listodon has been updated to #Mastodon v4.7.1
No issues, tho my routine notes have me doing a bundle install, yarn install --immutable, and RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rails assets:precompile on every upgrade.
It seems that this simply required a bundle install this time...it seemed to work just fine, at least I see the updated version number when restarted.

@nelson@wetdry.world I promise, the kid that only talks about their favorite systemd-free distro (which has been dutifully maintained by a single developer in peru since 2007) still exists. They're there.

Steam On Linux Dips Below 4% For August
Valve just published the Steam Survey results for August 2026. After jumping above 4% in July, in August it fell back below that threshold. Meanwhile CachyOS continues gaining ground among Linux gamers...

this is a hate post:
right next to me there are some nerds larping as linux users while they watch clickbaity videos of how cool omarchy is by some shitty youtuber that is ill informed and that is clearly trying to optimize for retention
i miss when linux was mostly for curious people instead of being at the same fundamental level as shitty aibro hype.
