so searching for a fedi microblogging backend or suite, almost compromising (rude) to mastodon (accurately, glitch) or pleroma, i almost fatefully got to know about #snac :blobaww: while i still need further research or actually play around with it, it seems to have passed a lot of my requirements :blobaww: :

Using #Fedilab while on holiday with a degraded network connection is really a pain. The app should immediately load the cache, with an indicator showing it is still trying to load the content, instead of a full loader waiting for a timeout.
I will fix that quickly.

so i'm actually ordering yet another ovh vps.. and i always hate this moment cuz i gotta select where my server should be located and it's quite political, i'm mandated to verify the available countries' status like whether it can go to the right.. and lately the choice is getting narrower n narrower :blobugh:

god i was afraid it'd be 1k jpy (~= 6 usd) but found one of my current providers (which is ovh) offered a quite strong spec one in so cheap 4.54 usd and even 15 % discount available for a year commission :blobsweats: since the spec woule be soon sold out as my experience i'm totally in FOMO :blobsweats:

My apologies to the folks on #Universeodon who were impacted by an outage this afternoon, the issue did self resolve before I had a chance to look into it but it looks like it's due to an ongoing memory issue with the SideKiq server (Content processing) which caused a spike in CPU and memory pressure on one of our underlying servers.
I'm doing some work quickly now to get it back to full health.
