This little #snac instance has been running for a little more than a month now. I'm following 500-odd people and a bunch of hashtags from the mastodon.social feeds.
Storage has grown to 1.7gb, memory and cpu utilization are still negligible.
This is easily the lightest weight fedi host I have run to-date, and I've run just about all of them.
I'm still hestitant to move to it full time, but it is pretty appealing.

Trying to find more information on how the under-15 social media ban in France impacts Mastodon/fediverse servers, and while I can't see anything too concrete on that, I did come across this 2024 The Guardian article:
"The report said a 15-year-old should be able to access only what it called “ethical” social media, such as Mastodon."

So has Polar and Amazfit. The form factor (screen less) is what Whoop got right.
What's more important though is that all of the non-Whoop devices are subscription free (all have optional subscriptions, but the basic functionality is all free).
It'll be interesting to see how Whoop adjusts (or doesn't adjust) their business model. Because while they got the form factor right, it seems that subscription free is what people actually want.

oh! I think I will see how I can play with composition after watching some vids about it. editing the JPEGs, ex taught me about the simpler one and I am used to it (so happy) but yeah def will try various editing.
kak koa :3c I prefer second maybe like I'd like to maintain the maintained one, but maybe not soemthing I will do in the few weeks/months, not sure yet
