@shannonkay @sylvia My piece was certainly with blogging in mind, for sure, but I think the point still stands for basic websites. I use Jekyll for one of my own sites, pretty complex imo. The point about no dependencies also isn't true since you need a 3rd party web host unless you have an always-on server with a static IP in your closet 🤷♂️

@neatnik I didn't write this to sell my web service. I wrote it because I disagree with your premise. I hold the position that getting HTML files on a web server is more complicated for non-techies than techies naturally think ✌️

@neatnik I haven't missed the point. I'm merely suggesting it's more complicated than you say. Maybe we have different ideas. Perhaps you could outline the steps required to maintain a blog using raw HTML and CSS hosted somewhere on the internet and we'll discuss over a practical example?
Also, "uploading them to a web server" literally introduced a dependency on others! 😅🤷♂️

@alexandra @raeubervater looks great! Thanks for giving Pagecord a go. A few new things being cooked, but mainly refinements for the coming months I think. Then again I tend to always say that and then I go down an unexpected rabbit hole! 😅

@archiwuminternetu @sebastian I’m working on lowering the email cost so I expect to up the limit over time. There isn’t actually a hard limit right now, this is just guidance. Pagecord blog has 600 subscribers, nearest after that is around 50. Surprises me but email subs just don’t seem that popular. There would have to be a cost if someone got into big thousands but I’d make it as cost-effective as possible.
