japanese is the only language where you try a lot kind of translation tools, and each of them result in different meaning
not exactly as south and west. but you miss the details
as non native japanese speaker, the only way I could adapt to this is just getting better at japanese so I don't rely on such a tool. I wonder how japanese people survive these days in the english speaking world, no wonder their community is stronger

May 28. Two little crosses on the mesa looking south towards Grants, NM. I think the ascent was about 1500 feet, and it was the first time this trip where going up felt good.

Heads up for postmarketOS edge users: we'll soon roll out merging /usr/sbin into /usr/bin.
"Switching to this new layout requires no manual intervention. All new images will be automatically bin-merged and existing installs will have it happen
during normal upgrades. Existing paths that point to /sbin/ or /usr/sbin/ will continue working through symlinks to /usr/bin/"

I've published on social media almost every day for the past few weeks, for the first time in years.
Nothing about my technical systems actually changed. I'd already built the calendar, the workflow, the tools.
What changed was admitting the real block: a belief that posting regularly to social media made me a hypocrite.
Once I wrestled through that, the work got a whole lot easier.

#Fedle received several fixes.
- Spanish now treats Ñ as its own letter, and its dictionary has been improved.
- It also fixes federation issues for #Misskey and #Sharkey.
- Announcements and results now have a dedicated tag per language, like #Fedle_es, #Fedle_en etc.
#Fedle is a daily word game on the #Fediverse.

We just received about 60 (?) fake account registrations - this time not even trying to pretend any identities, just kind of DDoS.
What it interesting, that this time, they did not use known #TOR exit nodes and the IPs are not known by existing blacklists. Instead, the attack seemed to came from pool of IP addresses owned by Japanese companies and from Japanese mailservers...
We need to figure identity of operators of this botnet. Let's setup some place to share the IP addresses used by botnet. If we want to keep #Fediverse and #Mastodon registration open, we must federate our blocklists too...
